Scope of Activity: Leadership of company in co-operation with the Managing Director: Strategy implementation, shop openings/ renovations/closures, co-operation with works council, acquisitions

Leadership of Finance organization: improvement of processes and systems, providing objectives and controlling achievements, hiring staff, development of human capital;

Management of departments: Controlling: Profit management, reporting, financial analysis, budgeting; Accounting/Payroll: Yearend and month-end closings; Electronic Data Processing/IT: IT support for all functions; Franchising: Franchising decisions, conceptual questions; Law: Decision making on law cases

Reporting line to the Chief Finance Officer Minit world-wide in London.

Turnover/Budget: Total turnover (incl. franchisees) 90 Mio. €, P/L turnover 60 Mio. €, 700 shops (incl. 400 franchisees)
Projects: 1) Support for Managing Director to shift the company focus to become a modern service enterprise.

Results: Introduction of new services, rate of return calculations, implementing of new strategy.2) Profit management, saving projects. Result: 0.8 Mio. € savings.

3) Improvement of reporting and budgeting. Results: Introduction of new budget culture, investment control, investment success reporting, sales analysis report.

4) Development/staffing of departments. Results: Two new department heads, 3 new clerks, training for assistant and other selected employees.

5) Initializing vital changes in franchising. Results:  New master contract in expectation to new social laws, new franchise calculation model, introduction of an automated billing system.

6) Improved IT system & IT usage. Results: New mainframe, NT and e-mail introduction, introduction of laptops incl. training for sales organization.

7) In-sourcing of book-keeping in the Czech Rep. Results: Accountant was employed, EDP book-keeping system implemented.

8) Acquisition project. Results: Decision based on detailed analysis and negotiations.

Salary 102.000 €, bonus, company car, pension plan.
Direct reports: 32 including three department heads and 2 group managers.
